PICK YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO STYLE THIS BARE ROOM INTO A BEDROOM

This is it.
The BARE ROOM
A blank canvas so to speak.
Nothing grand or fancy-
just a little room with possibilities.
This is YOUR bedroom.
Forget your spouse's taste ,
or lack thereof,
Forget about pets and kids and real life.
This is a bedroom just for you.

Think of it WITHOUT the vertical blinds.
Ready to make a choice?
I tried to keep all the rooms
about the same size so that you
aren't trying to fit a great big room
into a small space.
Alrighty then-
Here we go.

The first 7 are all from

#1
BASK IN THE SUN
A bright bedroom with sunny yellows
and bits of blue.

#2
BLUE-WITH GRAPHIC ART
This one is more tailored and has lots of blue
I think it has kind of a modern feel to it.

What is opposite of blue?
Well, how about a dose of PINK?

#3 -
  PEPTO PINK PARADISE
It's bold and graphic

From graphic to a this-
#4
RUSTIC RETREAT
It sports wood beams,
bead board walls,
and a four poster bed.

 #5
SPA DAY
Is a bit more modern with a pop of green.
It has a vacation like feel to me.

#6
RESTFUL RETREAT
It really is a retreat, isn't it?
These soft blues are calming
and I like the florals.

 #7
SWEET SIMPLICTY
For the neutral lovers

And the choices just wouldn't be complete
without a soft romantic room.
#8
FIT FOR A PRINCESS

AND I had to ADD just one more
Romantic Room.
#9
FARMHOUSE FRESH

So~There you have it.
Pick your favorite.
I will tally them up and let you know
which ones had the most votes.
AND
I'll tell you which people
you are sharing a bed with!

  3. #2 definitely. P.S. I hate the pink one.

  4. Diana, I love Farmhouse Fresh ...all those pillows and the breeze coming into the room. I hope all my bed mates bring their own Teddy Bears. LOL. Blessings to you, naughty girl, xoxo, Susie

  5. Tee hee... you mean there's 500 other bloggers in this bed too??

  6. Wow . . . I had to battle between 4, 5, 6 and 9. Well, 6 makes be the happiest and I like to wake up with a smile, but the other three are so restful. Favorite . . . I guess #6. Or maybe a four bedroom house where I could rotate between them each week of the month, LOL After all we are dreaming, right?

  7. I'll take SPA DAY! The pops of green make me happy!!!! xoxo

  8. Number 1 for me, please! I love the yellow and blue. I remember probably 20 years ago, seeing a tour of Kathie Lee Gifford's home on tv and she had the most beautiful yellow and blue bedroom. I've loved that color combo ever since. :)

  9. Hands down it's #9 for me.

  10. Move over, BJ! #9 is the only one for me!!

  11. #5 Spa Day. I am a fan of soothing neutrals and colors brought in from nature. Love the green.

  12. Ummmm.... 1, 4, 6, 8, 9. I know, I know, I'm supposed to pick only one, but OHHHH, those 5 are so beautiful :)

It's so good to visit you, my friend. Hugs!

  13. I would have to say #1, but the white boards and green in #5 comes in a close second. -Jenn (love these posts, by the way!)

  14. They are all very pretty, but there was never a doubt No. 9 is the one I would love to have.

  15. Being the country gal that I am I would have to go with #4 The Rustic Retreat. I love the wood and calming effect this room has. Want to come remodel for me? LOL!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'll take number two! Have a great day. sandie

  17. Haha! You know how I love my vintage stuff...so #6 it is!

    ReplyDelete
  18. #6 is the perfect room for me. As much as I love Pink that pink room is down right scary bright! This is fun and it will be interesting to see who my 'bedmates' are! Hugs!

  19. #9 Farmhouse Fresh. Very romantic and if i had a choice for a second home, I would decorate it differently. xo

    ReplyDelete
  20. #9- without a doubt! Are you footing the bill??? Bwahahaha!

    ReplyDelete
  21. #1 and #6, kind of go between those two.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well if I had to choose, it would be either #4 or #8.....but I think I will go for #8!
If I could really choose, with all that lighting??? Most likely I would turn it into a stamping room.
    Yeah, that's what I really would do....lol!

    1. PS and what's really great...looks like I don't have to share a bed with anyone...lol!

  23. Wow so many to chose from 1 & 4 are great but really all of them were wonderful.

    Hugs Diane

  24. Oh, this one is tough! I think I'll go with #6...but can I get rid of the suitcase at the foot of the bed? I might stump my toe on it! haha! Thanks for the fun! Hugs!

  25. Number 6. I have a soft spot for florals. And it's charming and cozy. Farmhouse fresh is pretty (love that headboard), but a bit too much white for me.

  26. Oh Diana, I'm so glad you found these for me! Our bedroom is so boring. Please don't read anything into that. LOL I LOVE #1 or #5. Please send them to me UPS. And thanks for the fun! If I can only go with one choice, I'll say #1.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Oh how fun...love this post....I would definitely choose #1....

    ReplyDelete
  28. This is too hard!! I love several of them. Okay, if I have to choose one...#4.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Really like 2 others but it would be #7 for me all the way!

    ReplyDelete
  30. #1 or #9...this looks as if I just chose the first and last, but I assure you that I carefully considered each choice. I did. Carefully.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hi Diana, O.k. so I would pick #9 and also #7. Just because I love a touch of feminine, but also don't want it too over the top...
Thanks dear friend for sharing this fun meme.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Definitely #5 Spa Day....OMG did you see the linens made from...LINEN? The more you wash linen the softer they get. *LOVE*

    ReplyDelete
  33. You silly goose! I like the first one!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I love both Spa Day and Bask in the Sun. But since I have to pick one, I will pick Spa Day.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I am torn between 6 and 9. Love them both. Not an easy decision!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I love, love, LOVE primitive decor and the minimal look, so #7 - Sweet Simplicity would be my choice. Just few prims would compliment this room very well. Thanks for another fun post and imaginary project, sweet friend. :) God bless you.

  37. I like # 9 and # 1. They are all great.

    Have a good evening.

    Hugs,
    Mary

  38. 5 followed by number one....How about a different one for each day of the week?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Actually that should be five followed by number nine! Hope you had a great day.

    ReplyDelete
  40. #6 because of the restful colors.

    ReplyDelete
  41. 7 and 9 are my favorites but I'm going with #7!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I think I cam out very low in your last survey! lol! I do like the farmhouse look in this bedroom challenge but I'm not crazy about the headboard...I'd do a black wrought iron. The bedding is perfect. I also like the neutral room but that's getting a little boring for me.

    Thanks for making us think!!

  43. Ops! Guess I had to give the numbers. #7 and #9. Duh!

  44. It's a hard choice between Bask in the Sun or Farmhouse Fresh.....ugh!! I have to pick #9 Farmhouse Fresh because of the chippy piece above the bed and the chandelier!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh my mercy! I love them all. I would probably stay in there and hibernate in either of those rooms. Loving #4. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

    ReplyDelete
  46. Definitely number 9. I love it. Blessings and Peace

    ReplyDelete
  47. I like the last one! Farmhouse retreat!!
Boy, I could do with another nap.....(see why on my blog)

  48. These are always such fun, Diana!
I'll go with #5, spa day. My reasoning is that it would be the easiest to dust, plus it's so bright and cheery! Some of the others are really beautiful...but imagine how much work it would be to dust those chandeliers!

  49. Pink walls, but toss out everything else, leaving only my HIGH, 8x8 waterbed with only a tiny table on each side---just big enough for my small reading lamp, nook and glasses, and his a little larger to accommodate same, plus his breathing machine.

The print could stay, but only as a comfy soft rug wall to wall, and there must be very dense curtains to block the daylight when I want.

We like simple and comfortable, with no embellishments in our sleeping chamber.

says rachel, with every throw-pillow, bow, ruffle, lace and floral fabric known to decor in most every other part of the house. as well as a decidedlly PINK kitchen. Sorry I don't fit into a bedroom niche this time. All your choices are gorgeous, but we sleep SIMPLE.

  50. Oh you are making this tough, Diana! Can I pick two rooms?:) I am in love with room 6, the blue walls and shutter headboard are so me. But I also am in love with the last room, #9. It is gorgeous! Guess I will pick that one if I had to narrow it down. What would you chose?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Number 4 Love Rustic decor :)

    ReplyDelete
  52. I LOVE #9!!!! Hope my roomies won't steal all the covers! Hugs!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Haha. You are too funny. I actually love them all, but I think I would have to vote for Number 1. Have a great weekend!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Numero uno...although cinco and siete are bonita also...xoxo

    ReplyDelete
  55. #9 it is!!!!. I wouldn't care who I was sharing with, I would only have eyes for the room!!..Happy Weekend dear Diana..xxoJudy

    ReplyDelete
  56. Actually I'd like to have 6 and 9. One week I could stay in 6 and the next in 9. Or go back and forth each night...I cannot narrow it down to one...its just impossible. So deal with it!

    ReplyDelete
  57. LOL all that I could think of in regards to some of them was the chandy crashing down on me if I lived in an earthquake zone :) I guess I'd take #1 / looks like a FAN above the bed which would help on a summer night :)

    ReplyDelete
  58. I think I'll have to go with # 9! Although # 1 is a close 2nd!!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Oooh, this was a tough one. In the end, I'll go with #9 - totally different from my current look, which is most like #1.

    ReplyDelete
  60. #1...way more traditional than my usual style, but it's just too bright and cheery to pass up! When can you send the moving truck to my house? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  61. Definitely #9 for me...it reminds me of something you would see in Kris's house, doesn't it? I love it!!
    Smooches.

  62. I like 9, 1, 8 in no particular order........I can't choose but would maybe be 9........or 1

    ReplyDelete
  63. #9 for sure. But I'd sneak a little pink into that room!

    ReplyDelete
  64. I think I'm late to the party but #5!
